Music Video Post Production - Social Media Feedback
As part of my audience feedback, I decided to share my video on Facebook and ask people to comment their opinions. Social media is a great platform for the peer to peer sharing of media texts and it also allows people to comment openly without the restriction of structured survey/focus group questions. This also allows me to receive a wider range of feedback due to the amount of people I have on my friends list and proves to be an overall quicker and easier method of obtaining my audience feedback.
The majority of people who commented were in the age range of my demographic and overall I received positive comments. People who watched the video understood the narrative perfectly which was one of my main concerns, due to its non-linear structure. The emotional response was exactly what I had intended for as people commented that it had made them feel "sad". A few people mentioned that the miming didn't fit in with the song at some points which I have also noticed and will be correcting.
